Dan Ageze, MD, MPH

Dr. Daniel Ageze is an Addiction Medicine Specialist with a background in Preventive and Family Medicine. Besides being a research consultant at the University of California San Diego as an associate physician, he currently sees patients at Neighborhood Healthcare Interfaith in Escondido with a focus on addiction and psychiatry for those in shelters. He is in the process of launching his own telehealth service for those suffering with substance use and psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Ageze is originally from Ethiopia and came to the United States in high school. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Public Health at the University of Washington, Seattle. He completed medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Currently, he serves as an ASAM membership council member. He has a great interest not only in having an impactful relationship with his patients, but also addressing the socioecological factors at each level of the socioecological framework that prevent the success of his patients.
