TREDS develops training programs for the public that address various roadway safety issues. These programs emphasize the importance of avoiding risky behaviors that can increase crash risk and offer strategies related to safe driving practices. Click below to learn more about each program area.

Aging Drivers

By 2030, one in five drivers will be over the age of 65. Click below to access a refresher course that reinforces rules of the road and encourages safe driving behaviors among aging drivers.

Distracted Driving

Along with alcohol and speeding, distracted driving ranks as a leading cause of fatal and injury crashes. Click below to access a course designed to increase awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and encourage participants to be safe and responsible drivers.

Impaired Driving

Alcohol and drug use is a nationwide roadway safety concern, as almost one in three traffic deaths involve an impaired driver. Click below to access courses aimed at preventing teens and adults from driving under the influence.

Pedestrian Safety

Pedestrian fatalities are at their highest rate in 30 years. On average, a pedestrian is killed every 84 minutes, which equates to 17 people a day. Education is critical to help prevent these tragedies. Click below to access a course designed to promote safe pedestrian behaviors.
