Dr. Ryan Moran, TREDS Co-Director, is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine and Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health at UC San Diego. Moran obtained his MD degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2012, where he also completed an internal medicine residency in 2015. He completed a residency in Preventive Medicine at UC San Diego/San Diego State University and transitioned to faculty at UC San Diego in 2017. There he provides clinical care for adults and older adults in a busy academic practice and instructs medical students, undergraduates, and graduate medical trainees.
Dr. Moran currently serves as the Associate Program Director for the UC San Diego/San Diego State Preventive Medicine residency and the Medicine Director for the Exercise and Physical Activity Resource Center, located within the Qualcomm Institute on the UC San Diego campus. He has been involved in transportation-related programmatic planning, education, and research for the last decade at TREDS.
