The University of Massachusetts Traffic Safety Research Program (UMassSafe) hosted the CMV Safety Summit: Innovative Best Practices to Prevent Crashes in November 2024.
TREDS presented preliminary data on a research initiative, Use of Real-Time Driver Alerts to Improve CMV Safety. This project is piloting in-cab Electronic Logging Device-based safety alerts, with the goal of reducing CMV-involved work zone crashes across California.
