Teens: Alcohol and Cannabis
Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens, with a quarter of those crashes involving alcohol. Young drivers with a blood alcohol content of .08% are 17 times more likely to die in a crash when compared to those who had not been drinking. DUI crashes are 100% preventable. Education can raise awareness of the dangers associated with driving impaired by alcohol and cannabis.Steer Clear: Decide to Drive Sober
This course is designed for youth ages 15-20 and aims to prevent impaired driving from alcohol and cannabis. Teens will gain valuable insights into how substances affect their ability to drive, along with practical tips to stay safe on the road.

Online Courses
Course for Teens
This 30-minute course, taught by peers, provides teens with essential information about how alcohol and cannabis can impair driving. It can be used in the classroom or individually. A certificate is available upon completion. Available in English and Spanish.
Train-the-Trainer
This 45-minute training prepares instructors to deliver the Steer Clear curriculum. Participants will gain access to program materials, including PowerPoint slides, video clips, and other resources to support program delivery. Curriculum is offered in English and Spanish.
Video for Group Presentations
Steer Clear is also available as a 30-minute video designed for use in group settings—ideal for classrooms, assemblies, or youth meetings. It’s an engaging tool that can spark discussion and facilitate learning on the topic of teen impaired driving. Complete a short form to gain access to the downloadable video.
